Thank you for visiting Rem Optical Company, Inc. d/b/a De Rigo Rem (“De Rigo Rem,” “we,” “us,” “our”). De Rigo Rem respects your privacy and values your trust. We are committed to ensuring that the personal information stored by our systems is suitably protected and used appropriately. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you of the treatment and handling of information that we may learn about you from visiting De Rigo Rem’s websites at derigo.us and derigoresources.us (the “Sites”), your engagement with our content, and/or by use of any of our services (collectively, the “Service”). - Agreement to Terms
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use, then you should immediately discontinue use of the Service without Providing us any personal identifiable information.
- The Information We Collect
The information we may collect from you depends on how you interact with us as detailed below. We may collect information (a) directly from you (such as when you create an account, submit an order, or send communications to us), (b) from the device and browser that you use to access the Service, or (c) from cookies.
Visitors to our Sites. For visitors to our Sites, we may collect the following categories of information.
- Identifiers. We provide functionality to message us through the Sites. If you message us through the Sites, we may collect your name, email address, and the content of the message you send to us. We use Tawk.to, Inc. (“Tawk.to”) to power the messaging functionality. You can learn more about how Tawk.to uses personal information at https://www.tawk.to/legal/. We retain messaging information, including the content of any chat, for one week, unless otherwise needed to address our legal or regulatory obligations.
- Device Information. This information may include your computer and mobile device type and browser type.
- Internet Activity Information. This information concerns your interaction with our Sites, including geolocation information based on your IP address, how you interact with our Sites, including when you access the Sites, and browsing activity on the Sites. This may include “traffic data” or tracking information provided by the Site’s host or similar provider of such information (e.g., Google Analytics) that may be helpful for improving the Service.
Our Customers’ Owners, Officers, and Employees. Our customers are primarily business entities, and as such, the personal information we collect is limited and primarily relates to the business contact information for our customers’ owners, officers and/or employees. In particular, this information may include:
- Identifiers. We may collect the name and signature of our customer’s official representative (e.g., owner, director, officer, partner, or shareholder). If the business is a sole proprietorship and does not have a federal employer ID number, we may collect the sole proprietor’s social security number. In addition, if a customer’s owner, officer, or employee contacts us in connection with a customer service call or payment collection, we may collect that individual’s name and business email address.
- Business information. We may also collect business contact details for our customers’ official representatives and/or employees. This includes the business name, business address, business email address, business phone number, and business fax number.
- Payment information. In the event our customers make payment using a corporate credit card issued is in the name of one of our customer’s owners, officers, and/or employees, we collect the name of the cardholder as well as the credit card number, expiration date, and CVV code.
You are not required to provide all personal information identified in this Privacy Policy to use our Service or to interact with us, but certain functionality will not be available if you do not provide certain personal information. For example, if you do not provide certain personal information such as your contact details, we may not be able to respond to your requests.
- Cookies
A cookie is a small string of information that a website that you visit transfers to your browser for identification purposes. Cookies can be used to follow your activity while using a website or across websites, and that information helps companies understand your preferences and tendencies, as well as improve and personalize your website experience. Some cookies are necessary to operate a website, while others can be functional, analytical, or used for targeted advertising (as discussed in more detail below).
- Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are required for the operation of our some of our Sites. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into password-protected portions of our Sites or our application. These cookies are session cookies that are erased when you close your browser
- Analytical/Performance Cookies. These allow us to recognize and count the number of users on our Sites and understand how such users navigate through the Sites (e.g., when and which pages are visited,

Do-Not-Track Signals
At this time, De Rigo Rem does not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “do-not-track” instructions. - Children’s Privacy
The Service is not intended for use by people under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly or intentionally gather personal information about visitors who are under the age of 16. - How We Store and Safeguard Information
We maintain reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse, alteration, or unintentional destruction. We have implemented various security measures to protect both the personal information and general information that we receive form you through the Service.
Whenever you give out personal information online there is a risk that third parties may intercept and use that information. This section addresses the categories of information that we collect about job applicants, employees, officers, directors, owners, and contractors, as well as how we use this information.
If you are a job applicant, employee, officer, director, owner, or contractor, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Identifiers. We may collect your name, alias(es), Social Security number, date of birth, drivers’ license number, address, email address, phone number, and signature;
- Demographic Characteristics. If required under federal or state law, we collect sex/gender (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, and citizenship and/or visa status.
- Financial Information. We may collect your bank account number or other financial information.
- Internet or Electronic Network Activity.We may collect information concerning your use of our information technology (“IT”) systems, including our website. This information includes your username and password for access to De Rigo Rem systems, browsing activity, search history, and your interaction with our IT systems and networks, including date and time of access and location information.
- Audio and Visual Information. We may collect audio or visual information about you through security cameras, other monitoring systems, or voicemail recordings.
- Professional, Employment and Education Information. We may collect your resume, employment history, education history, transcripts, employment contract, contractor agreement, performance reviews, disciplinary records, employee expense information, and payroll and benefits related data.
- Inferences and Characteristics. We may also draw inferences from the information described above that reflects your preferences, characteristics, behaviors, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.
We collect the categories of information above for the following business purposes:
- To recruit new employees and to conduct employment-related background checks;

- To determine and monitor eligibility to work in the United States;
- To administer benefits, such as medical, dental, and retirement benefits, including recording and processing eligibility of dependents, absence and leave monitoring, and insurance;

Disclosures of Information for Business Purpose
To manage our business, we sometimes share personal information with third parties. Data Transfers
We take steps to ensure that we handle your personal information subject to appropriate safeguards. As a US company, most of our operations are conducted in the United States and in order to provide the Service, personal information will be processed in the United States, where laws regarding processing of personal information may be less stringent than the laws in your country. We provide appropriate protections for cross-border transfers as required by applicable law for international data transfers. With respect to transfers originating from the European Economic Area we implement the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
